Founder - Director
Zach Royer, clpi, oM

Picture
Director Zach Royer
Bio: Zach loves everything there is to love about Hawaii and founded KRG on 11/11/11 because of his curiosity for the local legends. He moved to beautiful and sunny Kailua Kona on the Big Island to expand his popular alternative news & shirt company Apparently Apparel. Since then he has published one eBook (Pyramid Rising, Amazon.com 2012, soon to be in print) with a new book on the way. He has interviewed dozens of other authors, new energy inventors and is currently on assignment studying the many mysteries of the islands.

When not researching he enjoys organic farming, spear fishing, web design, and writing. Early in his travels to Hawaii, he was given the name "Cosmic Connector" and it has stuck with him ever since.

Zach appeared on the Travel Channel's show Legends of Hawaii(2012) in the segment "Searching for Pele", spoken twice on the Bob Charles radio show on KineticHiFi.com about the possibilities of ancient pyramids in Hawaii (Listen to the shows: Oct. 19, 2012 & Nov. 9, 2012) and his work Pyramid Rising was featured in the Journal of Anomalous Sciences in late 2012.

Lead Investigator
Jason Obenchain, CPI, OM

Picture
KRG's Jason Obenchain

Bio: Jason was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii and is a practitioner of the Atlantean Oracle, also known as the Book of Destiny System, which is most similar to Astrology. He enjoys investigating all aspects of the paranormal and in assisting people.

Jason has been interested in the paranormal and in spirituality for most of his life. He experienced paranormal activity after his mother's death in 2009; the activity consisted of hearing footsteps at night within the hallway of his home while everyone was asleep, and an electronic baby swing turning on by itself. Hoping to understand more about these incidents is what prompted Jason to join KRG.

Equipment Manager
Steve Grossman, CPI

Picture
KRG's Steve Grossman

Bio: Steve is an Ohio native but has lived in the islands since 1977. His interest in the paranormal spans over three decades and he has experienced various forms of activity, ranging from a full body apparition witnessed while in college, to being pushed violently from behind while at volcano park in 1980. Steve's interest in the metaphysical combined with that of the paranormal has brought him to the KRG.

It is his hope to gain a greater understanding of why spirits remain earthbound and apply this knowledge to solving client's paranormal concerns.

Group Sensitive
Marcie Grover, OM

Picture
Sensitive Marcie Grover

Bio: Marcie is a San Francisco native who relocated to the Big Island in the 1990s with a Hapa-Hawaiian husband and two sons. She has been back and forth between California and Hawaii for the last twenty years, and have worked as both a news reporter and in law enforcement in the last ten years. She has been interested in all things paranormal from a very young age, and she used to save her allowance to buy Fate magazine, which admittedly was pretty weird for a 10 year old kid. She is fortunate to have sensitive abilities which enable her to sometimes hear and see spirits, and she really loves being able to help people understand that life truly does go on.

Investigator
Grace Vallez, CPI

Picture

Bio: Grace has had numerous ghostly encounters with deceased relatives, giving her a unique perspective on life. As part of Kahuna Research Group, it has opened her fascination of research into any paranormal anomalies and UFO phenomena. She believes in life after death, especially if the recently deceased are here to help and guide a loved one who is lost or needing answers. As part of the research group, she wants to be able to explore certain mysteries, open up more questions, hoping to get more answers that would solve any unexplained phenomena out there. She is still learning day by day and opening more doors to understanding the other side.  Any of her mysterious findings always come back with great answers.  That's where Grace comes in and she wants to say thank you for having the group by her side to help her put the puzzle pieces together.  And of course, my thanks goes to the countless researchers before me and people that might someday need help in the future - to help them with their unanswered questions about the other side is what I hope to do.  She has also witnessed UFOs in both Colorado and Hawai'i, and would like to know more.
