Kahuna Research Group (KRG) is a Hawaiʻi-based nonprofit organization dedicated to the responsible study, documentation, and preservation of Hawaiʻi's rich cultural traditions, historical mysteries, ancient sites, folklore, and unexplained phenomena. Founded on November 11, 2011, KRG brings together researchers, educators, historians, authors, and community members who share a passion for exploring the unknown through careful investigation, critical thinking, and respect for local culture. Our work combines historical research, field exploration, scientific observation, and community engagement to better understand the stories, traditions, and experiences that have shaped Hawaiʻi for generations. Whether examining ancient structures, documenting oral histories, investigating unusual reports, or providing educational experiences, our mission is to inspire curiosity, encourage evidence-based inquiry, and help preserve Hawaiʻi's unique heritage for future generations.
