By Zach Royer When KRG visited MacKenzie State Park in 2013, we had our fair share of paranormal activity take place: lights on our ion detector blinking in response to our yes or no questions, a few reasonable spikes on the Mel Meter and even a few phrases on the Spirit Box. But the most substantial piece of evidence we collected had to be this sequence of three photos that I took of what appears to be an apparition forming right before the camera. What we didn't record on film was our 30 minute conversation with a spirit named Louie, whom, according to our sensitive, died from poor conditions during the construction of the park. It's a well documented fact that prison laborers were used to build the park.
Our group revisited the park a couple months after our first initial visit, and spent the night. The park has really nice new campgrounds and new facilities, great for a weekend getaway, so our stay was actually quite pleasant. A detailed account of the full investigation can be read here: http://www.kahunaresearchgroup.org/case-log/krg-investigates-mackenzie-state-park Overnight Campout at MacKenzie State Park If you would like to join us for an overnight "investigation slash camp out" at MacKenzie State Park, we're planning on taking groups once a month to the park for a night of history and mystery. Explore MacKenzie with real paranormal investigators! Who knows what we'll capture on film this time?! Please LIKE or follow us on Facebook and Google + for paranormal updates and investigations. We'll update this article with our upcoming MacKenzie Campout dates when they are available. (Kona, Hawaii) 6:55am HST.
Couldn’t help but notice this face of what seems to be the Goddess Pele while tracking the progress of Hurricane Iselle, which has now been downgraded to Tropical Storm status. Regardless, things are still wet and windy here on the Big Island. Stay tuned for updates. _______________________________________________________________
Submitted on May 21, 2014 by Aisha L. Type of Sighting: Ghost or apparition (child) Details: "at 23 flats cliff. a lost mischievous boy about 7 years old with a bowl style hair cut." Written by Zach Royer On 12/12/12 there was an alignment of UAVs (Unidentified Aerial Vehicles, more commonly known as UFOs) over Maui, Hawaii that can only be compared to the famous “Phoenix Lights” event that took place over Arizona and Nevada in the United States, and Sonora, Mexico on March 13, 1997. Hawaii is a known UFO hotspot, with many stories of lights in the sky, both modern and ancient. Even in traditional folklore there are what’s called Akualele - which translates to " godly fireballs" - often referred to as flying gods or spirits. They have also been viewed as omens, and what took place on 12/12/12 is no exception. Just nine days before the legendary “end of the world” date (the world didn't end of course, just the end of an Age), there was an alignment taking place much closer than the celestial ones above. KRG was contacted by an eye-witness who happened to record a small portion of the event on his iPhone. We’ve been authorized to release the following images on our site with hopes that other witnesses may come forward. We understand that labeling these as UAVs or UFOs is the last resort, for surely there is an explanation, right? Chinese lanterns perhaps, or maybe swamp gas? You decide. This is certainly not the first time strange lights in the sky have been seen in Hawaii. Probably not the last time either. After some research, we found that on Friday, March 27, 1998, at 2:40 a.m. Honolulu time, a mysterious explosion of bluish-white light, accompanied by a roaring sound, lit up the night sky west of the Hawaiian Islands. It seems Hawaii is a hotspot for such activity. The most recent account of strange lights was just last month, with an article making the West Hawaii Today titled “Look, up in the sky, it’s a….” (click here to read that article) Sure, most sightings have a logical explanation, however there are some that defy logic. The image above seems to be one of these, with objects in near perfect alignment. Comets, meteors, planes, helicopters do not line up like that, let alone at night! This, folks, is the reason we do what we do. There are things out there that can’t be explained, let's face it. If you have witnessed something of a paranormal nature, like lights in the sky, fireballs, or anything else we would like to hear your story. By sharing your story with us you allow us to see the bigger overall picture which may end up helping someone down the road. If we can help just one person, then we’ve done our job. The following video is a cell phone recording (iPhone4?) filmed on Maui by a stunned eye witness. It has not been altered or edit in any way. If you know anything about this event, or you have additional footage to contribute to this ongoing investigation, please contact us. No portion of the following video or above article may be reproduced or rebroadcast without the written consent of Kahuna Research Group. Reported by Zach Royer (Oahu, HI) This UFO chase footage was captured by Honolulu resident J. Smith, who witnessed a UFO hovering over the Kaimuki residential neighborhood on March 4th, 2014. The footage was just submitted to KRG last night and permission was given to post it on our website. Mr. Smith, who was on a moped at the time, gave chase to the UFO for nearly seven minutes, capturing the following video: (WARNING: This is unedited footage and contains language not suitable for children.) From Witness: " 9pm 3/4/14 first noticed the UFO hovering above George St Kaimuki was completely quiet. excuse the foul language. this ship as you will observe is making maneuvers that are considered impossible! I was on a scooter and had to kinda chase it down 3 0f the 4 times I caught it on my cell cam on the fourth time I was unable to locate it. the Red and green lights are not visible through the eye of this cheap android, object appears as a bright orb.." At the beginning of the footage, the UFO can be seen descending rapidly before coming to a complete stop, and then doing a right-angled maneuver back to the left -- an unusual, if not impossible, maneuver for a plane or helicopter to make. And according to the witness, the object had red and green lights flashing as well.
So far in 2014, KRG has received more than a dozen reports of UFO sightings from here in Hawai'i, almost always without footage of any sort. If you have witnessed a sighting and you would like to report it to KRG, you can do so on our Submit a Sighting page. |
