The following UFO sighting was submitted to KRG via our Submit a Sighting page on September 9, 2015 and may not be reproduced in any way without expressed written consent. Type of Sighting: KRG Analysis
Based on the witness description, how the larger circular object 'literally disappeared" and the second object "fell downward", and looking at the unusual field lines in the ELA photos, the objects appear to literally be a 'worm hole' or 'portal' captured on film, followed by a descending ET craft possibly coming through the wormhole. The first object doesn't look like anything we've ever seen. The second object appears more craft. They aren't stars, planes or helicopters. Without having seen the event take place, it's hard to say. Put this one in the "unexplained" category. Our UFO department is currently in touch with researchers in the Easy Bay area. If you see or hear of anything like this in your area, please contact us or send us your story via our submit a sighting page. The following photograph and report was submitted to KRG via our Submit a Sighting page on September 2, 2015 and may not be reproduced in any way without expressed written consent. Type of Sighting: Kahuna Research Group Analysis: While the object in question is not a Menehune, it appears to be the phenomena known as a "flying rod", which has been reported by numerous other witnesses across the world. The original photo could be the clearest photo ever captured in Hawaii of such object and is the first reported case to KRG. The case is currently under investigation. Further findings, if any, will be reported here. (Update 9/10/2015 - KRG replaced the original photo with an artist's rendition) Previous Research The Wikipedia page for flying rods includes a few cases where further analysis into the phenomena showed they were possibly just moths. "Rods" (sometimes known as "skyfish", "air rods", or "solar entities") is a term used in cryptozoology, ufology, and outdoor photography to refer to elongated artifacts in the form of light-rods produced by cameras. Videos of rod-shaped objects moving quickly through the air were claimed by some ufologists and cryptozoologists to be alien life forms, "extradimensional" creatures, or very small UFOs. Subsequent experiments showed that these rods appear in film because of an optical illusion/collusion (especially in interlaced video recording), and are typically traces of a flying insect's wingbeats. On August 8/9, 2005, China Central Television (CCTV) aired a two-part documentary about flying rods in China. It reported the events from May to June of the same year at Tonghua Zhenguo Pharmaceutical Company in Tonghua City, Jilin Province, which debunked the flying rods. Surveillance cameras in the facility's compound captured video footage of flying rods identical to those shown in Jose Escamilla's video. Getting no satisfactory answer to the phenomenon, curious scientists at the facility decided that they would try to solve the mystery by attempting to catch these airborne creatures. Huge nets were set up and the same surveillance cameras then captured images of rods flying into the trap. When the nets were inspected, the "rods" were no more than regular moths and other ordinary flying insects. Subsequent investigations proved that the appearance of flying rods on video was an optical illusion created by the slower recording speed of the camera. Rod / Skyfish Documentary The following report was submitted to KRG on August 29, 2015 via our Submit a Sighting page, and may not be reproduced in any way without the expressed written consent from Kahuna Research Group. Type of Sighting: The following report was submitted to KRG on August 5th, 2015 via our Submit a Sighting page, and may not be reproduced in any way without the expressed written consent from Kahuna Research Group. Type of Sighting: Notice how both anomalies are similar in shape and trajectory, as if on the same flight path in formation. Too similar to be comets or random space debris. Also notice how these anomalies are similar to the ones in the sighting submitted to KRG on July 11, 2015. It seems the pattern here is they are always traveling in pairs.
